Do You Feel Burned-Out and Overwhelmed From Dealing With a Difficult Child?
I can help. I am a licensed Marriage Family Therapist who specializes in helping parents with challenging children through the use of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). I have practiced PCIT since 2000 and have extensive experience in helping families reduce their stress and enjoy more satisfying relationships with their children.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT):
- uses a two-way mirror and live-coaching via electronic listening device
- is an evidence-based treatment that is strongly supported by research
- successfully decreases behavior problems in children ages 2-8
- teaches effective parenting techniques that can be used with other children
- improves the quality of the parent-child relationship
- decreases parental stress levels
- is tailored to the specific needs of each child and parent based on clinical assessment
As seen on the Today Show! PCIT was profiled on the Today Show as a useful technique to improve the classroom functioning of a 6 year-old with ADHD. View the 4 minute video
